1969 Volkswagen T2 1600cc Westfalia Camper 1600cc 'Pop-Top'

A charming example of the iconic Volkswagen T2 Westfalia camper, finished in cream and fitted with the desirable elevating pop-top roof. Imported to the UK from California in 2008, this classic camper has spent much of its life in the dry Californian climate, helping to preserve its outstanding original condition. The original 'Westfalia' plaque is retained as original mounted inside the vehicle confirming its authenticity.

The bodywork benefits from years in the Californian sunshine and presents with rust free panels and a solid, rust-free underside. Importantly, the vehicle retains its original body panels. It is difficult to convey the condition of this example it is not to be confused with a restored example that has had endless body repairs or concealing a multitude of horrors  The underside, sills, floor pans etc are totally original and the bus has never had any welding repairs during its 57 year life. the interior is in remarkable condition retaining is original front factory seat covers. The rear cushion covers, curtains and floor coverings are in excellent condition as is the recently renewed 'Pop Top' canvas.  All the wood veneer is in very good condition. Looked after properly there is no reason why this will not last another fifty years unlike most on the market .
