1974 Triumph Stag Mk ll 3.0 V8 automatic convertible with hard and soft tops.

This beautiful fifty year old Stag has had one owner for the last thirty one years and displays just 63000 miles. A comprehensive hstory folder contains thirty three previous Mot's going back to 1979 when the car was just five years old, bills, service reciepts and invoices going back many years, along with previous V5 documents, tax discs, original owners hand book and manufactures Triumph Stag Repair Operation manual.

A very comprehensive bare metal body restoration was undertaken in the past including new panels as required, documented in a photo album with eighty photographs following the process from start to finish.

The original Triumph 3.0 V8 was fully reconditioned by Stag specialists 'Peak Perfomance Co Ltd' well known and recognised in the Stag world in their day approximately six thousand miles ago.

The body and paintwork presents very much as it did on completion of restoration, virtually unmarked with a glorious depth of shine obviously preserved over the years by the full under body Ziebart rust prevention treatment applied as the final part of the process. All the panels, doors, wings, wheel arches, bonnet, boot lid, front and rear panels are excellent. The underside is extremely good inc, outriggers, floor pans and sills. The hard top and black mohair soft top are in super condition as is the interior trim inc seats, carpets, dashboard, door cards and wood. Rear seat belts are also fitted.

This eye-catching Stag looks stunning, finished in the original Triumph colour 'Pimento' red with contrasting black Ambla interior, original polished alloy wheels and chrome stainless steel sill trims.

The car has obviously been meticulously cared for and loved, over the years to the extent that ever piece of relevant paperwork has been individually filed in seperate A4 dividers in the history folder, some attention to detail indeed! Many services and repairs have been carried out over the years, too much to mention, including a service in 2023 and recent new Michelin MX tyres, brake overhaul including new brake discs, calipers, pads, brake pipes, suspension bushes,track rod ends, rear shock absorbers and exhaust.

Retaining its original glorious Triumph 3.0 V8 engine with its characteristic 'burbling' sound track the car is a delight to drive and to cruise the country lanes with the soft top down or up, in the hopefully non to distant warm sunny days, however fortunately this Stag has the benefit of a snug hard top for those cooler damp days!
